About the event
Come join this spectator-only workshop where I'll work with 3 different horses of various levels. My main focus is always the combination of the mental and physical balance of the horse. But in this particular workshop I'll talk more about the style of dressage that I'm doing when I work with horses. In all 3 levels, I'll talk about different techniques, positions and movements in both the groundwork and riding.
First, I'll work with a horse that is fairly new to me, and that's in the beginning of his education. I'll show you exactly how I start and what I look for in a horse.
Second, I'll work with a horse that has been on and off in training with me for the past 2 years, to show you a progression of the basics and how to further develop them. You'll get to see the beginning of a horse that starts to understand how to collect from behind.
Third, I'll work with one of my own horses. He's further educated in his mental and physical balance. There will be more advanced groundwork/work in hand, followed by riding. I'll talk about the way I've been taught how to educate horses into collection. In the riding I'll show you how a horse is starting to operate on my seat and how they self carry. There will be lots of opportunities for questions!
Location: 500 Hawks Lake Ln, Whitefish, MT 59937 (Please drive slow when entering the private road!)
Coffee, tea and light snacks will be available in the heated lobby area of the arena.
